Honey the Bear & Her Little Wardrobe

Honey came with a wardrobe, which is more than most of us manage.

She's a small golden bear with a cream muzzle and a quietly pleased expression. She owns a green pinafore dress with a lilac ruffle, two crossbody bags in mint and lilac, because one is never enough, a red scarf for cold days, a blue scarf for slightly less cold days, a purple blanket, a little pillow, and her own tiny coat hanger.

Everything comes off and goes back on again. She can be dressed for the morning, changed her mind by lunchtime, and tucked in at night.

Her eyes and nose are embroidered rather than plastic, so there's nothing on her that can work loose.

This is a gift someone plays with rather than displays. For a child who likes small worlds, or for an adult who never quite stopped.

Materials: cotton yarn, polyfill, a printed cotton pillow and a small hanger.

A note on little ones: Honey herself has no plastic parts and nothing that can detach, so she's safe from the very beginning. Her bags, scarves and hanger are small enough to be a choking hazard, so for under-threes I'd keep the wardrobe on the shelf and let them have the bear.
